There's nothing wrong if this will be your first S.T.A.L.K.E.R game, as the plot of the game is quite different from previous games, so you don't lose much information. If it contains bin folder, remember to make a backup from the folder before applying the folder's contents inside of it. Though there are few oddities with NPC behaviour, the game is outright playable from start to finish.And obviously, with the mods you can enhance the gaming experience.Now, when it comes to modding, the mods for Call of Pripyat are usually coming with readme for installation, but the basic fact is if it contains gamedata folder, you extract it into the directory of where CoP is installed.
